Personal Page

A little information about my own personal life. I currently play professional golf, substitute teach, plan activities for the youth, referee sports, and spread positivity in both real/social life. When I started the website, I noticed much of the information was very personal, so I decided to create pages just for you all to learn about myself and my background.

Golf

I was introduced to golf during my toddler age by my dad. I was 2 or 3 when I started swinging a club. Dad would play on the weekends with his buddies, and I'd get to ride along, watch and chip and putt occasionally. I loved playing other sports growing up, including baseball, basketball, and football, but when it came time for high school my two main focuses were basketball and golf. I think I really was attracted to play golf because I felt so free and at peace. It's a game where we make our own decisions much of the time and no matter the level one plays at, it's always a real challenge. At the conclusion of high school, I played 3 years of college golf. I battled some health problems, so I didn't complete my 4th and final year. A few years later I declared Pro in my golf career. I am a playing pro, where I travel and compete in mini tour events and state open qualifiers.

Gary Hopkins

Gary was a very special man, who most recently passed away. He exceled in life, as well as golf which was a good chunk of his livelihood. He was born and raised in Lander, Wyoming.  A tremendous athlete Gary was, who played in many PGA Tour Events, including a few Majors. Gary was so full of knowledge and always had that charming smile on his face. When he hit a bad shot, he'd just laugh and mumble a few words to himself. Gary impacted my own life greatly, starting at a very young age. Gary lend me my first set of irons along with many other clubs around the 7th grade. He is the reason I began to take golf seriously and with passion.

Every time I would run into Gary over the years, we would have a great conversation and he always had some great advice to give to me. He always asked how my game was and had his dog, Putter there by his side.

You will be greatly missed Gary.

Elk Herd Grazing

Outdoors

Outside of my work and golf life, I enjoy spending good quality time in the outdoors. I enjoy hunting, shed hunting, fishing, and even a good scenic hike or drive. I feel so at peace and at ease spending time out and about. Here in Wyoming, I've spent a lot of time watching and hunting Elk. To me they are such a cool creature and a challenge to figure out.
